Eventually they plummeted and the house prices became low enough that the average person could buy the homes. Buyers can now afford the homes because the house prices have dropped so much.

Getting one of these houses is a great move for the buyer today because it carries a lot of potential. These large homes make great investment properties. In today’s market it is possible to rent out the home and get more than the mortgage requires for the monthly rent payment. Or the buyer can buy one of the unfinished homes and finish it, then turn around and sell it for a profit. As the market corrects and prices slowly rise, these new houses are going to be worth more and more.
